If you work with young people, below are a number of resources freely available to help you both encourage and support them to take part in the Prize. 

Get started with the Team Champion Pack where you’ll find all the information you need to help your teams apply – click this link to download now!

Once you’ve read the Team Champion Pack, introduce your group of 11-16 year olds to the Prize with The Longitude Explorer Introductory presentation.  It has been designed to be delivered in a variety of settings, for example, a school assembly, a classroom or a group meeting – download it here now!

Need some inspiration to get started with your ideas? 

Below are a range of activities which can be used as much or as little as needed to help you apply for the Prize.

They have been designed to help teams come up with their winning idea and enable them to easily fill out the application form. 

Each activity has both a downloadable detailed plan (including a list of materials needed) and powerpoint presentation to deliver the session.

An introduction to AI:
This activity aims to provide a fun way to introduce young people into some of the history and basics of artificial intelligence. It has been developed for groups which may have little or no background in AI.
